I don’t mind spending extra on a product if it earnings the product was made in the USA or if I can at least be sure the electronics company doesn’t use children, gives a living wage, decent working conditions, etc.
I want to buy a digital camera, but I don’t want to throw my support behind a company I don’t believe in.

Thanks Zarg. And yes, that is what living wage earnings. As in they can support their families by being able to afford the essentials. In the US a living wage would be different in monetary value than a different country…it all depends.

you will have to buy the most expensive brand available then – what you are seeking doubtless doesn’t exist – and “a living wage” is relative to everywhere you live – you can’t expect anyone to pay 3rd world workers $15USD per hour when their national average wage is $1.00 per hour or something like that
and children are not going to know how to manufacture electronic products
