Can a low cost digital camera see something the human eye cannot? Maybe thru infrared leaking past the filter? Many people claim to get objects on the camera that they never saw at the time of exposure?

I’ve seen those claims before.
A digital is sensitive IR but most examples I have seen were lens flare, sparkle illuminated motes, dust and dirty lenses.
